Service Writer- Dispatcher STM 540

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assess their service needs.

• Create and maintain accurate repair orders in the system.

• Communicate clearly with customers about recommended services, timelines, and costs.

• Coordinate work between customers and technicians to ensure timely service completion.

• Review and verify completed work orders for accuracy before closing.

• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, services performed, and follow-ups.

• Assist in scheduling service appointments and managing the daily workflow.

• Provide cost estimates and obtain customer approvals for work to be performed.

• Monitor service progress and update customers on status.

• Maintain knowledge of products, services, and company policies.

• Ensure a professional, clean, and organized service counter/work area.

Skills / Education / Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.

• Prior experience in a service writer, service advisor, or customer service role preferred.

• Automotive, commercial tire, or fleet service knowledge a plus.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

• Proficiency in basic computer applications and service management systems.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
