Could you be the full-time Services Support Centre India Director in India we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership, technical, and strategic expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic, collaborative, and innovative teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in driving the growth and capability development of the Services Support Centre (SSC) in India, ensuring excellence in Engineering and Industrial support for our Services businesses. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Services Development, Services Operations, Rolling Stock, Procurement, Quality, and CTO, to ensure seamless delivery and collaboration, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of developing and executing strategic plans to expand technical bandwidth and capacity, but also establishing strong relationships with regional counterparts and creating a trusted global support network.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Leading the SSC in India with a focus on process rigor and delivery of seamless quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) across regions

  • Providing engineering and industrial support to all Services portfolio solutions

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to internalize external work packages and enhance competitiveness

  • Establishing and managing relationships with regional teams to ensure alignment and effective collaboration

  • Overseeing the development of technical documentation and a Maintenance Digitalisation Centre of Excellence

  • Driving the development of competencies and expertise within the SSC team

  • Ensuring alignment with Alstom’s standard Target Operating Models (TOMs) and Way of Working

  • Preparing and periodically reviewing strategic roadmaps to align with senior management objectives



All about you

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in railway activities or high-technology heavy engineering products

  • Proven leadership experience in managing large engineering teams

  • Knowledge of rolling stock equipment design, operation, and usage

  • Experience in maintenance engineering activities or related functions

  • Cross-functional working and global stakeholder management expertise

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage critical issues effectively

  • Familiarity with safety management systems and risk assessment

  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and BI/BO reporting tools

  • Experience in managing continuous improvement initiatives is a plus
