Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic server to join our vibrant hospitality team! Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements, ensuring a positive first impression
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, including handling cash handling duties and processing sales transactions
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with food safety standards
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed to ensure smooth operations
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of menu items, wine pairings, spirits, and cocktail recipes to provide expert recommendations
• Manage guest relations by providing attentive service, resolving issues professionally, and ensuring guest satisfaction at all times

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
• Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances your ability to serve confidently
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Demonstrated sales skills with the ability to upsell beverages and menu items effectively
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and guest-focused approach
• Food safety certification or knowledge of sanitation standards preferred; experience with food handling regulations is beneficial
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
