Sewing Sub manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise sewing supervisors, line leaders, and operators to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Provide training and guidance to enhance team performance and technical skills.
• Support the Sewing Manager in planning and delegating daily activities.
• Coordinate with planning and IE teams to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
• Ensure correct manpower allocation and balanced sewing lines for efficiency.
• Monitor line output, reduce bottlenecks, and implement improvement actions.
• Enforce quality standards at every stage of sewing.
• Work closely with the Quality team to identify and address quality issues quickly.
• Ensure defect reduction and promote a “right first time” culture.
• Support implementation of Lean and Kaizen practices to increase productivity.
• Monitor efficiency KPIs and lead corrective measures to achieve target efficiencies.
• Recommend machine adjustments and process changes to improve workflow.
• Coordinate with maintenance and IE teams for machine optimization.
• Solve technical problems related to machines, attachments, or operations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations.
• Promote a safe and clean working environment for all staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Garment Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of a supervisory or assistant manager role .
• Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, machine handling, and sewing operations.
• Proven track record in leading large sewing teams in high-volume apparel manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen (preferred).
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
