To provide individualized classroom support to a student with special educational needs within a CBSE curriculum, ensuring effective participation in academic activities, adherence to classroom routines, and gradual development of independence.
Key Responsibilities:Academic Support
- Assist the student in understanding CBSE curriculum concepts and classroom instructions.
- Support completion of classwork, homework, worksheets, and projects.
- Modify or simplify learning tasks as per the student’s IEP.
- Help the student prepare for CBSE-aligned assessments and exams.
- Reinforce concepts taught by the subject and class teachers.
Classroom & Behavioral Support
- Support the student in following CBSE classroom rules and schedules.
- Implement behavior intervention strategies recommended by the special educator.
- Assist during transitions between periods, activities, and school events.
- Encourage focus, attention, and appropriate classroom behavior.
Inclusive & Social Support
- Facilitate positive peer interaction and group participation.
- Encourage inclusion in classroom activities, assemblies, and school programs.
- Support emotional regulation and confidence building.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Coordinate closely with class teachers, subject teachers, and special educators.
- Maintain daily observation notes on academic progress and behavior.
- Assist in implementing recommendations from therapists or counselors.
- Participate in review meetings and parent interactions when required.
Promoting Independence
- Gradually fade support to encourage self-learning.
- Help develop organizational, study, and coping skills.
- Encourage the student to take responsibility for their tasks.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate (B.Ed / D.Ed / Special Education preferred).
- Certification or training in Special Education is an added advantage.
- Experience working with CBSE students with Autism / ADHD / SLD preferred.
- Strong communication, patience, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to follow structured academic and behavioral plans.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Shadow Teacher / Special Educator / Support Staff (preferred).
- Freshers with relevant training may be considered.
Working Hours:
- As per CBSE school timings (student-specific).
Performance Indicators:
- Student’s academic engagement and progress as per CBSE standards.
- Improvement in classroom behavior and social skills.
- Effective coordination with teaching and support staff.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
