Shampoo Assistant

Job Description:

Zeal Salon is seeking a dedicated Shampoo/Styling Assistant to support our lead stylist and team in prepping guests for hairstyling and coordinating daily salon activities. The ideal candidate has a passion for beauty trends, fashion, and hairstyling, and thrives in a customer-focused environment. Your role will be essential in creating an exceptional experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Shampoo and prep guests for styling.

• Engage with clients, learn their preferences, and build positive relationships.

• Ensure guests are comfortable and enjoy an optimum service experience.

• Respond to emails and phone inquiries professionally.

• Monitor stock levels of beauty products.

• Schedule appointments and manage booking inquiries.

• Recommend products and services based on guest needs.

• Maintain and update guest information in our systems.

• Capture videos and photos to showcase our work on social media.

• Collect feedback to ensure every guest leaves satisfied.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Assist with social media content creation.

Skills:

• Previous salon experience or familiarity with salon tools and equipment.

• Strong customer service skills are highly desirable.

• Up-to-date with current hair trends (e.g., colors, styles).

• Basic proficiency with Apple software.

• Familiarity with social media platforms.

• Record-keeping and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage emails and appointments efficiently.

• High school diploma or beauty school experience is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
