Position Summary

As we continue integrating recently acquired businesses—many of which have historically operated on cash-based accounting processes—we are focused on transitioning to standardized GAAP-compliant reporting, scalable internal controls, and enterprise-wide systems alignment.

The Shared Services Accounting Manager will play a critical role in leading the standardization and modernization of accounting operations across Agility Retail Group’s portfolio of operating companies. This individual will oversee key transactional accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll support, and general ledger processes, while helping establish consistent policies, procedures, and controls.

This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting knowledge, ERP implementation experience, and the ability to manage and develop a growing shared services team.

Key Responsibilities

Process Standardization & Integration

  • Lead the development and implementation of standardized accounting processes across seven operating companies
  • Support integration of newly acquired businesses into our corporate accounting structure and reporting timelines
  • Drive alignment of historical local practices into a centralized shared services model

Chart of Accounts & ERP Governance

  • Manage and maintain the corporate Chart of Accounts (COA), ensuring consistency and scalability
  • Partner with finance leadership to optimize use of Acumatica ERP across entities
  • Lead process improvements and system adoption for teams transitioning from cash-based accounting

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Establish and strengthen internal controls across AP, AR, Payroll, and month-end close processes
  • Ensure accounting operations comply with GAAP standards and reporting expectations
  • Assist with audit readiness, documentation, and controls testing as needed

Transactional Accounting Oversight

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including:
  • Accounts Payable workflows and vendor management
  • Accounts Receivable billing and cash application processes
  • Treasury management & bank reconciliations
  • Payroll coordination and compliance support
  • Intercompany accounting and reconciliations

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and mentor a growing accounting shared services staff
  • Build capacity and structure for scalable accounting operations
  • Foster a culture of accountability, process discipline, and continuous improvement

Month-End Close & Reporting Support

  • Support monthly close activities across multiple entities
  • Ensure timely, accurate reconciliations and reporting packages
  • Collaborate closely with corporate finance, FP&A, and operating leadership
  • Ensure 100% sales tax compliance is met across all entities

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or shared services environment
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks
  • Demonstrated success implementing or scaling ERP-driven processes (Acumatica experience a plus)
  • Experience integrating acquisitions or transitioning businesses from non-standard accounting practices

Preferred

  • CPA or CMA/MBA designation
  • Background in PE-backed or high-growth manufacturing/import/distribution environments
  • Experience supporting audits and building accounting infrastructure

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
