Overview
Seeking a Project Lead to design, develop, and deploy a modern, secure, and user‑friendly intranet built on Microsoft SharePoint Online within the Microsoft 365 environment. This role will lead the full lifecycle—from design and branding through development, testing, deployment, and training—ensuring the platform streamlines communication, collaboration, and access to resources across multiple divisions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft SharePoint Online design, development, and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD).
  • Experience with site architecture, workflows, permissions, and content migration .
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards, accessibility (ADA/Section 508), and records retention policies .
  • Ability to conduct testing, troubleshooting, and user acceptance processes .
  • Strong project leadership skills—able to manage timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with branding and UI/UX design for intranet solutions.
  • Knowledge of multimedia integration (video, blogs, polls, analytics).
  • Background in training and documentation for technical and non‑technical staff.
  • Familiarity with state or government IT standards a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of a centralized Employee Resource Hub in SharePoint Online.
  • Configure site collections, hub sites, subsites, and workflows.
  • Build branded landing pages, dynamic homepages, and division‑specific sections.
  • Implement features such as events calendars, blogs, video embedding, polls/feedback, and analytics.
  • Ensure ADA/Section 508 compliance, mobile responsiveness, and cybersecurity alignment.
  • Configure Azure AD authentication, SSO, and data retention/audit policies.
  • Conduct functional, usability, and security testing; facilitate UAT.
  • Provide training, documentation, and post‑launch support.
  • Collaborate with IT and communications teams to ensure long‑term sustainability.
