Sharps Technician – Part Time (Springfield/Urbana)

Greenway Innovations, Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sharps Technician to join our team! This part-time position will support a hospital location in Elizabethtown, KY, ensuring safe and compliant management of sharps containers and medical waste.

Position Details

• Schedule: hospital-based - Multiple Sites
• Pay: $18.00 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement

Responsibilities

• Collect, transport, and replace sharps containers within designated hospital areas.
• Maintain strict compliance with infection prevention, OSHA, DOT, and EPA safety protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service to hospital staff and leadership.
• Complete service documentation accurately and on time.
• Support Greenway’s mission of environmental stewardship through our reusable container program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete a background and health screening prior to onboarding.
• Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Professional demeanor and customer-service skills in a healthcare environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk throughout large hospital campuses.
• 10,000(+) steps per day on average
