Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Shawarma & Sandwich Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and assembling sandwiches according to customer specifications and our restaurant's standards. This role requires attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and marinate meat, such as chicken, beef, or lamb, for shawarma cooking, ensuring proper seasoning and flavor infusion.
  • Slice or shred marinated meat and assemble it onto skewers or spits for cooking on the shawarma grill.
  • Prepare additional ingredients, such as vegetables, sauces, and garnishes, for use in shawarma wraps, sandwiches, and platters.
  • Operate shawarma grills safely and efficiently, monitoring cooking temperatures and adjusting settings as needed to ensure proper cooking of meat.
  • Rotate meat skewers or spits on the grill or rotisserie, ensuring even cooking and optimal flavor development.
  • Carve cooked meat from the skewers or spits using a sharp knife or shawarma slicer, maintaining portion control and presentation standards.
  • Assemble shawarma wraps, sandwiches, and platters according to customer orders, incorporating desired ingredients and toppings.
  • Grill or heat flatbread or pita bread for use as a base for shawarma wraps and sandwiches, ensuring proper texture and temperature.
  • Plate shawarma dishes attractively, garnishing them with fresh herbs, or pickles, or other condiments as specified by the recipe.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and assemble sandwiches, and other menu items according to recipes and customer preferences.
  • Ingredient Management: Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and available for use. Monitor inventory levels and notify the Kitchen Manager of any shortages.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation. Ensure all food items meet health and safety regulations.
  • Sanitation: Keep workstations clean and organized. Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation and timely food delivery. Assist with other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • B knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR3,500.00 - QAR5,000.00 per month
