What you’ll do

• Fabricate and install sheet metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
• Utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques to ensure strong, reliable joints.
• Operate various tools, including power tools, hand tools, and machinery such as press brake machines for precise fabrication.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to execute projects accurately.
• Conduct pipe threading and ductwork assembly with attention to detail.
• Perform rigging tasks safely while utilizing cranes and forklifts for material handling.
• Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards throughout all fabrication processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction environments with a strong focus on sheet metal work.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and plasma cutting techniques.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for precise measurements.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues effectively.
• Basic math skills for accurate calculations during fabrication processes.
• Experience with assembly processes, including soldering and machining tasks.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required.
• A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and improving skills in the field.
