Duties

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately fabricate sheet metal components.
• Measure, cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery.
• Install fabricated sheet metal systems in various settings, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
• Conduct routine inspections of completed work for quality assurance and adherence to safety standards.
• Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to verify electrical continuity where applicable.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate work schedules and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or similar role within construction or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques, tools, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret measurements accurately.
• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical components.
• Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials safely, and work in various environmental conditions.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
