Summary:
We are seeking a motivated, analytical Shellfish Logistics Intern to join our operations team and work directly with our experienced Transportation Manager. This is an exceptional, rare opportunity for an incoming logistics professional to receive long‑term, hands‑on training from a seasoned manager who is committed to mentoring his successor.

In this role, the intern will learn every aspect of our transportation, packaging, and distribution operations while also taking on meaningful project work focused on cost savings, operational efficiencies, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Identify opportunities to reduce transportation, packaging, and operational costs.
Analyze routing and schedules to pinpoint fuel‑saving strategies.
Review staffing structure and recommend potential restructuring or workload balancing.
Evaluate packaging and transportation processes for potential consolidation and increased efficiency.
Support implementation of new technologies, tools, or systems that improve operational workflow.
Gather and analyze data to propose measurable improvements.
Work with production, warehouse, and driver teams to understand where bottlenecks occur and propose solutions.
Digitize and manage fleet records (renewals, registrations, taxes, leasing, and maintenance) and develop Power BI dashboards to track metrics
Support the potential expansion of this digital system to include vessel documentation and maintenance tracking.

What you bring to Pacific Seafood

Required:

Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, with a graduation date no later than June of 2026, in:
- Supply Chain
- Logistics
- Closely related field
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Basic PC knowledge

Preferred:

Previous experience in logistics/supply chain
Experience in Shellfish or Finfish Hatchery operations.
Familiarity with seafood or agricultural product markets.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
