Job description
The Shift In charge plays a vital role in day-to-day functioning of manufacturing plant. They act as the first point of supervision and to ensure that the production target, quality standard, and safety requirements are met. By Coordinating with the team leader and other department such as maintenance and QC, the Shift In charge contributes to maintaining smooth operations, timely problem resolution, and consistent product quality.
Supervises helpers during their shift. Monitors production process, equipment performance and material usage and loading and offloading. Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and SOPs. Coordinating with team leader for reporting issue shift handover and production update. Maintain ShiftWise production logs and basic documentation
Responsibilities
To actively participate in following, setting and implementing processes that will deliver the EHS standards set by the Group.
Carry out duties and responsibilities in relation to EHS to ensure the safety of oneself, environment, other employees and business.
To plan, organize, and manage loading, Off-loading of RM & PKG material and submit to QC for approval
Ensure to check, maintain the forklift as per required standards, and drive safely with no accidents or incidents
To carry and transfer the load safely as per required EHS standards dictated by the company
Cross check the delivery notes against the material received
Work along with Material Administrator in arranging and verifying materials
Verify the batch numbers against delivery note and COC
Verify the materials received are in correct quantity, of correct quality and labelled as per the requirements of the employer
To store the materials the safely, properly segregated and as per EHS and legal guidelines
Support, manage and coordinate in various manufacturing processes
Monitor and check operating safety of the equipment as defined by the standards
Ensure to follow, comply and oblige to all the Safe Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) of the company
Liaise effectively with all other workers for the smooth conduct of work.
Participate in all the trainings, toolbox talk, and other briefings as organized by the company
Any variance against the delivery notes and physical count to be reported to material administrator.
Actively participate and conduct random, weekly, monthly and annual count of the company
Report to the TL or any responsible person in any act, incident, issue that can have the potential to cause an accident, incident or injury to any employee or contractor factory site or surrounding area.
Actively participate in the company’s EHS programs
Ensure that the appropriate personal protective equipment is worn when required as part of the job.
Reporting of USAC and encouraging other members to do the same
Additional responsibilities in the Manufacturing on ad hoc basis and as per discretion of the line manager
