Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Leader, you will oversee daily operations, ensure food safety standards are met, and lead your team to provide an outstanding dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage daily operations of the restaurant during shifts, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Train, develop, and mentor staff in food preparation, customer service, and operational standards.
  • Handle cash management and POS transactions accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory control to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations.
  • Assist in cooking and food production as needed to support the kitchen team during peak hours.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Conduct staff interviews and participate in the hiring process to build a strong team.
  • Collaborate with management on budgeting, scheduling, and overall restaurant performance.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment is required; fine dining or casual dining experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and culinary techniques.
  • Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in training & development of staff members is highly desirable.
  • Background in hospitality management or food service management is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $12.41 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
