Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant and ensuring exceptional customer service. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff during assigned shifts
- Train and mentor team members to deliver outstanding customer service
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and food safety regulations
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory control
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving restaurant operations
- Assist with scheduling and managing labor costs
Skills:
- Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proficient in using Toast or similar point-of-sale systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
