Shift Recycling Supervisor
Recycling Supervisor - DAYS (Hourly)
We have an immediate opening for a Day Shift Recycling Supervisor who is enthusiastic and looking to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate with have 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a recycling/manufacturing environment. Candidates must strategic thinkers and lead with a hands-on approach.
Responsibilities:
We have an immediate opening for a Day Shift Recycling Supervisor who is enthusiastic and looking to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate with have 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a recycling/manufacturing environment. Candidates must strategic thinkers and lead with a hands-on approach.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize daily/weekly schedules with available resources to best meet shift goals with safety and quality being the focus
- Monitor workloads and employee utilization
- Monitor sort, wash/dry, and grinding processes for quality and rates per hour
- Oversea pelletizing process and check for quality mix and process rates
- Take a proactive approach to continuous improvement including productivity, quality, safety, environmental, and ergonomics.
- Coach, mentor, and train team members for improved job performance and career advancement
- Work with all departments to ensure safe working equipment and production of product
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strategic thinker and problem solver
- Must be able to bend, twist, climb, stand, and lift items of up to 50lb
- Must be able to pass a background check, physical and drug screen
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years’ supervisory experience.
- 1-3 years’ experience in recycling plastics (PS, PP, and HDPE)
- Able to work 12 hr. rotational shifts (Continental Schedule – 2/2/3)
