The Shipping and Export Coordinator will manage the shipment of goods to domestic and international destinations. He or she will prepare documentation, ensuring compliance with domestic and international trade regulations. Also responsible for coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and tracks shipments for timely delivery. The successful candidate will have proficient occupational skills including strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, excellent communication, and proficiency with computer systems for record-keeping and logistics.
Responsibilities

Documentation: prepare necessary paperwork for domestic and international shipments, including export documents

Regulatory compliance: ensure all shipments comply with domestic and international trade laws and customs regulations

Logistics coordination: communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and trucking companies for various aspects of the shipping process

Shipment tracking: monitor the progress of shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery to clients

Client communication: act as a central point of contact to resolve shipping issues, answer questions, and provide information to clients and vendors

Record keeping: maintain accurate records of all shipping activities for customs, audits, and internal review

Qualifications

4 years of related domestic and international shipping experience

Experience with international shipping, DCAA government audit experience

Computer proficiency: performs data entry and uses computer skills, including familiarity with logistics software and other computerized systems

Familiarity with trade: knowledge of international trade practices and key import/export procedures is essential

The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.
Base salary is one component of your total rewards package.
