Shipping and Receiving clerk

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement of goods, accurate inventory management, and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control, utilizing various warehouse management tools and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting e-commerce and distribution channels.

Duties

• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately for delivery
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and load/unload trucks safely to move stock within the warehouse
• Manage stock levels through proper stocking, order picking, and inventory replenishment using MRP and AS400 systems
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and receipts to ensure inventory accuracy
• Assist with order fulfillment processes including order picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment
• Ensure all packaging meets quality standards and safety regulations
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain inventory integrity
• Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with logistics providers and scheduling deliveries

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or related roles
• Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes, order fulfillment, and inventory control systems such as MRP or AS400
• Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely (certification preferred)
• Basic math skills for inventory counting and order calculations
• Experience with e-commerce order processing and packaging procedures is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in stock management
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols
• Prior experience with warehouse software systems such as Warehouse Management System (WMS) or AS400 is desirable
