About the Role

We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Manager to oversee all inbound and outbound logistics operations. This individual will lead daily dock activity, manage freight flow, ensure inventory accuracy, and drive efficient order fulfillment.

This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping Operations

  • Oversee all outbound shipments (parcel, LTL, FTL)
  • Ensure orders are processed accurately and shipped on time
  • Coordinate with carriers, brokers, and logistics partners
  • Monitor and manage shipping costs

Receiving Operations

  • Manage inbound freight and vendor deliveries
  • Verify shipment accuracy and inspect for damage
  • Resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate system records
  • Oversee staging, labeling, and put-away processes

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, train, and schedule warehouse staff
  • Assign daily workloads and monitor performance
  • Maintain accountability and productivity standards
  • Support hiring and onboarding

Inventory & Systems

  • Maintain inventory accuracy across all transactions
  • Support cycle counts and inventory audits
  • Utilize warehouse and shipping systems to track operations
  • Report on key performance metrics

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure safe use of warehouse equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

-Required

  • 3+ years of shipping & receiving experience
  • 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of freight, parcel shipping, and dock operations
  • Experience with warehouse or shipping systems
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment

-Preferred

  • Experience in high-volume distribution or fulfillment environments
  • Exposure to carrier/vendor coordination or cost management
  • Equipment certification (or willingness to obtain)
