Shipping and Receiving Technician

Expertise And Functions

  • Store and monitor all incoming and outgoing material in the warehouse area
  • Track all KIHOMAC property with their unique ID numbers
  • Monitor all ingoing and outgoing materials
  • Send out notifications when the stock level is at a minimum
  • Ensure material is labeled with an internal tracking number and the contract and monitor all incoming and outgoing material for the contract
  • Perform monthly physical inventory
  • Verify that all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are with received HazMat material
  • All chemicals are logged once entered into the facility
  • Verify that all GHS labeling requirements are present
  • Use a temperature log reader to read the temperature record during shipment once freezer material is received
  • Monitor the shelf life and total out time for each material through its process of being used
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Perform lifecycle management inventory control functions such as receiving, logging, tagging, and storing inventory for traceability requirements under AS9100 and preparing final assemblies for shipment
  • Prepare and ship parts for outside processes, which could include drop off and pick up
  • Maintain mileage log, schedule maintenance, and prepare reports monthly for vehicles and forklifts
  • Lead team to ensure successful execution of all Shipping & Receiving functions
  • Oversee all Shipping and Receiving activities
  • Ensure employees receive and perform any required training for both position and company needs
  • Assist in updating KIHOMAC policies and procedures and train KIHOMAC personnel in the Shipping and Receiving processes
  • Guide employees to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies/processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training:

  • High School diploma required
  • Associates Degree in managerial field preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a releavant field or position
  • Experience using an ERP system for manufacturing preferred

Security:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to assess, install, and modify equipment, and inspect machinery
  • Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controls
  • Perform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements
  • Prolonged periods of standing while operating machinery
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, etc.) for the assigned task
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time
