Shop Dispatcher

We are seeking a highly organized and customer‑focused Shop Dispatcher to coordinate the flow of work within our service department. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling repair jobs, communicating with customers, supporting technicians, and ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to high quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage an efficient dispatch system to schedule and monitor all shop work.
• Prioritize and coordinate repair jobs, including all comebacks, to ensure timely completion.
• Keep an accurate and up‑to‑date repair log; prepare repair estimates when needed.
• Provide timely, professional communication with service customers and keep them informed of job status.
• Prepare estimates and verify customer credit status as required.
• Schedule routine maintenance for shop vehicles and service equipment.
• Coordinate parts requirements with the parts department; notify customers immediately when special‑order parts arrive.
• Report repetitive parts shortages to the parts and service managers.
• Support a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent coordination and service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a service department, repair shop, dispatching role, or similar environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with scheduling systems, workflow tools, or service management software.
• Customer‑service oriented mindset.
• Automotive or mechanical service knowledge.
• Experience preparing repair estimates.
• Familiarity with parts ordering processes.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
