Steel It, LLC is hiring an experienced Shop Fabricator who can read drawings, lay out material accurately, fit steel correctly, and help keep production moving. We are not looking for someone who just wants a spot in a shop. We are looking for someone who takes pride in output, accuracy, and doing work that is ready for the next step.

What you will do

• Read shop drawings and lay out steel accurately
• Fit and fabricate structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and architectural steel
• Build beams, columns, stairs, rails, embeds, frames, and custom assemblies
• Cut, prep, fit, grind, and weld parts to drawing and quality requirements
• Check dimensions, fit-up, squareness, and finished quality before parts move forward
• Use shop tools and equipment safely and productively
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area
• Support shop flow and communicate issues before they become delays or rework

What we need from you

• Experience in structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or architectural steel fabrication
• Ability to read shop drawings and pull dimensions correctly
• Solid layout and fitting skills
• MIG welding ability required
• Stick welding experience is a plus
• Good attitude, dependable attendance, and pride in quality work
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly
• Ability to pass a tape measure test and practical fabrication evaluation
