Shop Lead

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shop Lead to oversee daily operations in our growing RV repair facility. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership abilities, excellent time management skills, and hands-on experience in construction, spray foam insulation or body paint spraying. The Shop Lead will be both hands on and supervise a team of 2-4 technicians , ensure quality workmanship, maintain productivity, and help drive a positive and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 2-4 technicians.
• Schedule and prioritize daily workloads to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Participate in and Monitor work quality and ensure repairs are completed to company standards.
• Train, mentor, and support technicians in developing their skills.
• Coordinate projects involving RV repairs, renovations, and restorations.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive shop environment.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding workflow, staffing, and project status.
• Troubleshoot repair challenges and assist technicians as needed.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.

Required Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a construction, automotive, RV, manufacturing, or related environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Experience with spray foam insulation, paint spraying, bodywork, or similar finishing applications.
• General construction knowledge and hands-on repair experience.
• Ability to read measurements, follow specifications, and complete projects efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, and work in a physically demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous shop foreman, crew leader, or supervisor experience.
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• RV repair or recreational vehicle industry experience.
• Management or project coordination experience.
• Familiarity with plumbing, carpentry, welding, or fabrication.
