Shop Supervisor

Job Summary:
As a Shop Floor Supervisor, you will play a hands-on role in overseeing day-to-day production activities, guiding operators and technicians, and ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and motivate production operators and technicians to achieve performance goals while maintaining high morale and accountability.
• Production Oversight: Manage daily production schedules, monitor workflow, and ensure timely completion of manufacturing tasks while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
• Training & Development: Provide ongoing training, guidance, and support to team members to develop skills, maintain compliance, and improve operational performance.
• Quality & Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues and optimize workflows.
• Reporting & Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) on the shop floor and provide actionable insights to management.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, including supervisory or lead responsibilities.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and motivating team members.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Hands-on knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and welding is essential.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems preferred.
