Shopify and WordPress Developer

Position Overview
The ideal candidate will be a technically proficient, design-conscious developer with at least 3 years of experience. This role involves creating custom websites, optimizing for speed and SEO, and collaborating closely with design and content teams. You will also mentor junior developers and contribute to internal process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance websites using WordPress and Wix and shopify.
• Create and customize themes, plugins, templates, and modules based on project requirements.
• Implement advanced functionality using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and Wix Velo.
• Optimize websites for performance, SEO, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
• Lead end-to-end development workflows including planning, development, QA, and deployment.
• Integrate APIs and third-party tools for extended website capabilities.
• Use Git for version control and manage staging/deployment workflows.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve website performance and security issues.
• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and project managers to align development with business and creative goals.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to ensure clean, scalable code.
• Stay updated on platform changes, tools, and industry best practices.
• Maintain technical documentation and SOPs for internal and client use.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with WordPress and Wix development in a professional setting.
• Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
• Expertise in WordPress architecture, including custom post types, taxonomies, and plugin/theme development.
• Proficiency with Wix Editor and Velo for customized development.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices, schema markup, and performance optimization tools (e.g., GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights).
• Experience with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and website analytics tools.
• Skilled in using Git and managing version-controlled projects.
• Ability to translate designs from Figma, Adobe XD, or similar into functional web pages.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
