Job Description: AM Shopify Developer
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Shopify Developer to design, develop, and optimize our Shopify store. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in theme customization, app integrations, and performance optimization to deliver a seamless and high-converting e-commerce experience. This role will collaborate closely with marketing, design, and operations teams to ensure a scalable, efficient, and visually consistent online storefront.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify websites, themes, and apps.
- Build responsive landing pages and new features using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Customize Shopify themes based on design mockups or Figma files.
- Optimize website performance for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
- Integrate third-party tools and APIs such as payment gateways, shipping apps, and CRMs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, errors, and technical issues to ensure smooth store operations.
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to implement UI/UX enhancements that drive conversions.
- Manage Shopify settings including product setup, collections, inventory, and metafields.
- Conduct regular website maintenance, version control, and platform updates.
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify platform releases, new features, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Shopify development and customization.
- Strong proficiency in Shopify APIs, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with Shopify Scripts, Functions, or custom checkout flows.
- Familiarity with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
- Experience with Shopify Storefront API or headless e-commerce architectures.
- Exposure to custom app development and third-party service integrations.
- Knowledge of recurring billing and payment gateway integrations.
- Experience working in agile or iterative development environments.
