Job Description

Apex Square is a growing digital agency specializing in website development, design, and digital marketing solutions. We're seeking a skilled Shopify Developer to join our team and help build high-quality e-commerce stores for our clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Shopify theme development, customization, and optimization. You'll work on diverse e-commerce projects, collaborate with our design and marketing teams, and deliver exceptional online shopping experiences that drive conversions and sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Shopify stores from scratch using Shopify themes and templates
• Create custom Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Customize existing Shopify themes to match client branding and requirements
• Integrate third-party apps and plugins to enhance store functionality
• Implement responsive designs that work seamlessly across all devices
• Optimize Shopify stores for speed, performance, and SEO
• Set up payment gateways, shipping methods, and tax configurations
• Migrate existing e-commerce stores to Shopify platform
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs or issues in Shopify stores
• Collaborate with designers to implement pixel-perfect designs
• Work with the marketing team to implement conversion optimization strategies
• Maintain and update existing client Shopify stores
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to clients
• Stay updated with Shopify platform updates and e-commerce best practices

Requirements

• 1-3 years of proven experience in Shopify development with portfolio of completed stores
• Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating language - Must Have
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery - Must Have
• Experience with Shopify theme customization and development
• Knowledge of Shopify APIs and app integrations
• Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development
• Familiarity with Shopify admin panel and store management
• Experience setting up product catalogs, collections, and navigation structures
• Basic understanding of e-commerce best practices and UX principles
• Ability to convert PSD/Figma designs into functional Shopify stores
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Shopify Plus
• Knowledge of React.js or other JavaScript frameworks
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub)
• Experience with Shopify app development
• Understanding of SEO best practices for e-commerce
• Knowledge of Google Analytics and conversion tracking
• Experience with page builders like Shogun or PageFly
• Familiarity with WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms
• Basic graphic design skills using Adobe Photoshop or Figma
• Experience with headless commerce or Shopify Hydrogen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs30,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
