Role Description

We are seeking a Shopify Frontend / UI Developer to join our on-site team in Pune. This role is primarily focused on Shopify, with secondary exposure to WordPress.

As part of Setoo Solutions Pvt. Ltd, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and optimizing Shopify storefronts with a strong emphasis on UI quality, performance, and user experience. You will work closely with designers and backend teams to translate requirements into clean, scalable, and production-ready Shopify and WordPress interfaces.

This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys working deeply with Shopify themes, Liquid, sections, and storefront UI, and is comfortable with building layouts even when detailed mockups are not available.

This is not a full-stack or backend role. Candidates primarily focused on Node.js, APIs, or backend systems may not find this role suitable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Build and modify Shopify sections, blocks, and templates (JSON & Liquid-based).
• Convert Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive Shopify UIs.
• Create clean and usable layouts without full mockups, applying strong UI/UX principles.
• Work with Shopify meta fields, product data, and dynamic content.
• Optimize Shopify storefronts for performance, accessibility, and cross-device compatibility.
• Integrate and customize Shopify apps and third-party scripts where required.
• Use Git for version control and collaborate with internal teams on releases.
• Secondary responsibility: frontend customization and UI work on WordPress projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Shopify frontend / UI development.
• Strong understanding of Shopify theme architecture, Liquid templates, and sections.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
• Experience using Tailwind CSS or similar modern CSS frameworks.
• Ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate UIs.
• Good understanding of UI/UX fundamentals (spacing, typography, visual hierarchy).
• Familiarity with accessibility best practices (WCAG) and frontend performance basics.
• Experience using Git/GitHub in a team environment.
• Comfortable working on-site in Pune.

Secondary / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience customizing WordPress themes (UI-focused).
• Basic to moderate exposure to React.js or Next.js (component usage, minor UI work).
• Familiarity with Shopify performance optimization (LCP, lazy loading, asset handling).
• Experience working with analytics, tracking scripts, or marketing integrations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per month
