Shopify UX/UI Developer & E-commerce Specialist

We are a growing Western Wear brand seeking a Shopify UX/UI Developer & E-commerce Specialist to elevate our online presence and enhance our customers' shopping journey.

In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for both the visual appeal and functional excellence of our Shopify store. You will leverage your expertise in UX/UI design to create an intuitive and engaging shopping experience that authentically reflects our brand. Simultaneously, your administrative skills will ensure the smooth operation of our e-commerce platform, from product management to app integration.

Responsibilities:

UX/UI Design & Theme Development:

- Design and implement user-friendly interfaces (UI) and intuitive user experiences (UX) for our Shopify store.

- Customize, modify, and develop Shopify themes (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to enhance functionality, improve visual appeal, and optimize for performance and mobile responsiveness.

- Conduct A/B testing and user research to identify areas for improvement and optimize conversion rates.

- Ensure consistent branding and a seamless visual experience across all touchpoints of the website.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce design trends and Shopify features.

Shopify Administration & E-commerce Management:

- Manage product listings, collections, variants, and inventory with accuracy and attention to detail.

- Configure and maintain Shopify apps and integrations to support marketing, customer service, and operational needs.

- Implement and manage promotions, discounts, and sales events within the Shopify platform.

- Monitor website performance, analyze key metrics (e.g., conversion rates, bounce rates), and generate reports to inform strategic decisions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the Shopify store, themes, or apps.

- Assist with customer service inquiries related to website functionality or order processing as needed.

- Ensure compliance with e-commerce best practices and data privacy regulations.

Brand Alignment & Collaboration:

- Collaborate closely with our marketing and product teams to ensure the online store effectively showcases our Western Wear collections and brand story.

- Contribute to the overall e-commerce strategy, bringing innovative ideas to improve the customer experience and drive sales.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in UX/UI design and development for e-commerce websites, specifically with Shopify.

- Strong proficiency in Shopify's Liquid templating language, HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript.

- Demonstrable portfolio showcasing previous website customization and design work.

- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Bonus Points If You Have:

- Experience with visual design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).

- Knowledge of SEO best practices for e-commerce.

- Experience with email marketing platforms and integrations.

- Excellent administrative skills with a keen eye for detail and organization

- Experience with Shopify app integrations and third-party tools.

- A passion for Western culture, fashion, and an understanding of the Western Wear market is a significant plus.

Salary:

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
