Position Summary

We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Shopify Web Developer to design, manage, and optimize our online store for gold and diamond jewellery. The ideal candidate must combine strong aesthetic sense with technical expertise, ensuring a visually luxurious, SEO-optimized, and conversion-focused e-commerce platform.

This role requires hands-on experience in Shopify development, product uploads, inventory management, image editing, and digital store optimization.

Key Responsibilities1️ Shopify Store Design & Development and management

• Design and develop a visually premium Shopify store aligned with luxury jewellery branding.
• Customize Shopify themes (HTML, CSS, Liquid).
• Optimize user experience (UX) and mobile responsiveness.
• Ensure fast loading speeds and seamless checkout flow.
• Implement product categorization (Gold, Diamond, Bridal, Daily Wear, etc.).

2️ SEO & Performance Optimization

• Implement on-page SEO strategies (meta tags, descriptions, alt texts, structured data).
• Conduct keyword research relevant to gold and diamond jewellery.
• Optimize product pages for search rankings.
• Improve organic traffic and conversion rates.
• Monitor performance using Google Analytics & Search Console.

3️ Inventory & Product Management

• Upload and manage products (gold weight, carat, pricing, certifications).
• Maintain accurate stock levels and SKU management.
• Coordinate with sales/inventory teams for stock updates.
• Manage pricing updates and promotional campaigns.

4️ Image Editing & Visual Enhancement

• Edit and retouch product images (gold and diamond jewellery).
• Ensure consistent lighting, luxury finish, and clean background.
• Create banners and promotional creatives for website.
• Optimize images for web performance without losing quality.

5️ Store Operations Management

• Monitor orders and ensure smooth processing.
• Manage payment gateway integration.
• Implement security best practices.
• Handle app integrations (reviews, upselling, marketing automation).
• Ensure compliance with e-commerce policies for precious metals.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Shopify (theme customization, Liquid coding)
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript
• Proven SEO expertise (on-page & technical SEO)
• Experience managing luxury or jewellery websites preferred
• Proficiency in Photoshop / Canva / Illustrator for image editing
• Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles
• Inventory management experience within Shopify
• Attention to detail (critical for jewellery product listings)
