Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Short Term Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves stepping into various classrooms to deliver engaging lessons, manage classroom behavior, and support students' educational needs in the absence of the regular teacher.

Duties

• Implement lesson plans and curriculum as directed by the regular teacher
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning environment
• Support students in their academic and social development
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs
• Assist with literacy and math education, ensuring students grasp essential concepts
• Provide individualized support for students with special needs or those requiring additional assistance
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere for all students, including those with autism or other developmental challenges
• Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness during the school day

Experience

• Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting
• Background in early childhood education, special education, or related fields is preferred
• Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning techniques
• Strong classroom management skills and experience in behavior management strategies
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with students and parents
• Experience in tutoring or providing individualized support is a plus
• Knowledge of Montessori methods or preschool education is advantageous
• A solid understanding of childhood development principles
