Job Title: Shoulder and Sports Orthopedic Surgeon (MD/DO)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Shoulder and Sports Orthopedic Surgeon to provide comprehensive care for patients with shoulder, knee, and sports-related musculoskeletal injuries. The surgeon will focus on both surgical and non-surgical management of athletic and degenerative conditions, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat sports-related and shoulder musculoskeletal injuries, including rotator cuff injuries, instability, labral tears, ligament injuries, and cartilage disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing operative and non-operative approaches.
- Perform orthopedic surgical procedures, including arthroscopic and open surgeries of the shoulder and other sports-related joints.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education and coordination of rehabilitation programs.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, athletic trainers, primary care providers, and other specialists to optimize patient recovery and performance.
- Manage acute injuries, overuse conditions, and degenerative joint disorders.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Fellowship training in Sports Medicine and/or Shoulder Surgery preferred.
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Active medical license to practice in the state of employment.
- Strong clinical judgment, surgical expertise, and communication skills.
