Compensation: Base + Commission | Average Total Compensation: $85,000+ (Top performers earn $100K–$120K+)Job Type: Full-time, In Person Location: Columbus, OH
The Opportunity
T.Y. Fine Furniture is Central Ohio's leading luxury furniture maker — every piece is handcrafted from naturally fallen Ohio hardwoods by our team of skilled artisans. We're not a big-box retailer. We're a growing brand with a loyal customer base, a product people genuinely love, and real momentum.
We're hiring a Showroom Manager to take ownership of our Columbus showroom. This isn't a floor sales job where you wait for someone to walk in. You'll run the store — driving sales, managing customer relationships, overseeing orders and inventory, and representing a brand built on craftsmanship and quality. As the showroom's dedicated manager, every customer relationship is yours to build and every sale is yours to earn.
The company is in a serious growth stage, and the right person here grows with us.
What You'll Own
- Sales performance. You'll plan for and hit monthly and annual revenue targets through consultative, relationship-driven selling. You'll understand every product we make — materials, construction, finishes, lead times — and use that knowledge to guide customers to the right purchase.
- The customer experience. From first showroom visit through delivery, you ensure every customer interaction is clear, professional, and on time. You manage orders, communicate updates, and solve problems before they escalate.
- Showroom operations. Inventory accuracy, bookkeeping, vendor coordination, shipping logistics, merchandising — you keep the day-to-day running smoothly and look for ways to improve it.
- Brand representation. You're the face of T.Y. Fine Furniture in our showroom. You speak knowledgeably about our craftsmanship, our materials, and what makes our furniture different.
Who You Are
- Genuinely warm and approachable. People feel comfortable around you — not because you're performing hospitality, but because you're naturally welcoming. Customers trust you quickly, and that trust is what drives your sales.
- An advisor, not just a closer. You guide customers to the right product for their needs — even if that means they don't buy today. You understand that honest guidance builds lifelong customer relationships, and that those relationships are worth far more than any single transaction.
- Operationally sharp. You're detail-oriented and organized by nature. You'll have purpose-built tools and systems to manage inventory, orders, and bookkeeping — your job is to use them well and look for ways to make things run even smoother.
- Tech-comfortable. You pick up software quickly and can navigate Shopify, CRM tools, and product management systems with minimal hand-holding.
- Design-minded. You have a genuine interest in furniture, interiors, or design. An interior design background is a plus, but what matters most is that you have taste and can speak to aesthetics with confidence.
- Self-directed. You don't need someone standing over you. You take ownership, identify what needs to happen, and make it happen.
- Curious and resourceful. When you don't know the answer, you dig until you find it. You'd rather research and solve than wait to be told.

- Experience managing operations, inventory, or a retail location is a strong plus
- Interior design education or experience is a plus but not required
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required — results matter more than credentials
