Showroom Receptionist - Customer Engagement

We are a family-owned automotive group expanding our portfolio with the launch of a new automotive brand in the UAE.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, early-stage showroom receptionist/customer engagement role in a fast-moving environment, not a traditional corporate setup. This role goes beyond greeting guests. You are the anchor of the customer experience, managing enquiries, coordinating appointments and test drives, and ensuring every interaction is captured accurately and handed over smoothly. If you enjoy working with customers, taking ownership of daily showroom operations, and ensuring follow-ups, handovers, and front-of-house activities run smoothly, this role is for you.

Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact: welcome walk-in customers and create a professional first impression
  • Manage inbound enquiries across phone, WhatsApp, email, and walk-ins
  • Coordinate appointments, test drives, and handovers with the sales team
  • Proactively follow up on enquiries, appointments, and visit outcomes to ensure no lead is missed
  • Capture leads accurately in the CRM system and ensure clean handover to sales colleagues
  • Maintain reception, waiting areas, and front-of-house presentation standards
  • Support showroom activity, launches, and customer events
  • Act as a central point of coordination between customers, sales, marketing and external partners
  • Resolve day-to-day customer and showroom issues independently and flag improvements where needed
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in a customer-facing role (automotive, hospitality, luxury retail, or similar preferred)
  • Fluent in English (spoken written); Arabic is a strong advantage (other languages welcome)
  • Comfortable working showroom hours, including weekends
Required Skills
  • Strong customer engagement and communication skills
  • Calm, professional presence with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities without dropping the ball
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, WhatsApp Business, email, and basic admin tools
  • Proactive mindset, you take ownership rather than waiting for instruction
  • Willingness to step beyond immediate tasks when needed to keep things running smoothly
