Showroom Sales Representative

Job Title: Showroom Sales Representative – Electrical, Control & Instrumentation

About the Role:

We are a leading trading company in Qatar specializing in Electrical products, Industrial Control systems, and Process Instrumentation. We are looking for a technically savvy Showroom Sales Representative to manage our showroom floor. You will bridge the gap between walk-in clients (contractors, MEP engineers, plant technicians) and our high-value inventory of switches, sensors, PLCs, cables, and measuring tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Service:

  • Greet and assist walk-in customers (electricians, maintenance supervisors, procurement officers) with technical queries.
  • Understand client project requirements and recommend appropriate electrical components (MCBs, MCCBs, Contactors) and instrumentation gear (Pressure Transmitters, Temperature Controllers, Flow Meters).
  • Achieve monthly sales targets and gross profit margins for the showroom counter.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and follow up on pending sales leads.

Showroom Operations:

  • Ensure the showroom is merchandised according to brand standards (Siemens, ABB, Honeywell, Yokogawa, or similar local brands).
  • Manage stock levels for fast-moving items and coordinate with the warehouse for restocking.
  • Handle cash/credit transactions and process invoices via the ERP system.

Technical Support:

  • Provide basic technical troubleshooting for control & instrumentation products (e.g., wiring of relays, setting up timers, basic PLC I/O questions).
  • Cross-sell complementary products (e.g., suggesting proper glands and cables for an instrument).

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of retail or counter sales experience in Electrical, Control, or Instrumentation trading in Qatar or GCC.
  • Technical Knowledge: Must be able to identify products by part numbers (e.g., Siemens LOGO!, ABB ACS drives, Rosemount transmitters, Schneider Electric).
  • Software: Basic knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Odoo/Tally) and MS Excel.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication in English (Arabic is a huge plus), negotiation skills, and a customer-first attitude.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: QAR1,800.00 - QAR2,500.00 per month
