Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated SICU Staff Nurse to provide specialized care to critically ill surgical patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care in high-stress, fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill post-operative and trauma patients in the SICU
• Monitor vital signs, neurological status, and post-surgical recovery progress
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and other prescribed treatments
• Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment (e.g., ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps)
• Perform frequent assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with surgical teams, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and responses
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during critical recovery periods
• Adhere to strict infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality standards
• Participate in shift handovers, case reviews, and emergency response drills

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with valid nursing license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Critical Care Nursing Certification (e.g., CCRN) is an advantage
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in ICU, SICU, or other critical care settings
• Strong clinical knowledge in post-operative and trauma care
• Proficient in the use of critical care equipment and electronic health records
• Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure, life-threatening situations

Work Environment:

• Hospital Surgical Intensive Care Units (SICUs)
• 24/7 work environment; rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Requires physical stamina and emotional resilience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
