Responsibilities

• Safely operate side load trash trucks, including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbed trucks as needed.
• Load and unload waste containers with precision using mechanical knowledge of various truck types.
• Drive through designated routes to collect waste from commercial and residential sites, adhering to schedule and safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper functioning of all equipment.
• Perform heavy lifting of waste containers and manage manual loading procedures efficiently.
• Maintain accurate collection logs, delivery records, and route documentation throughout the shift.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate pickups and resolve any operational issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience operating manual transmission vehicles.
• Proven driving experience with heavy trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, or tractor-trailers.
• Mechanical knowledge of truck systems, hydraulic lifts, and related equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during waste collection activities.
• Prior experience as a delivery or collection driver preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and waste management operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.06 - $28.98 per hour
