Job Summary

The Technology Lead - META and Russia will act as the strategic interface between senior business leadership and Sandoz IT for assigned markets or business functions and provide end-to-end technology partnering across all technology domains (manufacturing, supply, commercial, etc.) to enable ongoing business needs. The role currently covers 8 Corporate & Commercial Offices, with a total of approximately 1,200 associates

Your Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ability to reduce the local applications, working with global teams, especially in Analytics tools
• Manage the IT partners locally, being able to collaborate with other business departments
• Aligning with country strategy, owning the technology space
• Work with other IT guys, local and global (infrastructure, application and platforms, service desk, follow up on issues and able to coordinate root cause and resolution to multiple and diverse IT problems (Hardware and software)
• Short term planning approach of this role (as managing the cluster region META and Russia)
  • Create stakeholder network within the countries that this role is responsible for -> Business partnering abilities in different languages and countries
  • Able to share information with other regions within International
  • Work with other IT guys (infrastructure, application and platforms, service desk, follow up on issues and able to coordinate root cause and resolution to multiple and diverse IT problems (Hardware and software)
  • Accountable to deliver the project pipeline for the META and Russia region, reporting into the Technology lead
• Manage strategic relationships with senior leadership of assigned markets/functions and serve as a key point of contact and trusted advisor/business partner
• Single point of contact for the most senior leaders of each division in the respective markets or functions, ensuring integration of business engagement and consistent Sandoz IT experience for the business groups across all services
• Develop trust-based relationships and drive business alignment and readiness for business capability investment according to business strategy
• Address business demand by capturing high level technology requirements x-functionally, developing business cases and support prioritization by value management
• Ensure local readiness for and alignment to global standards, to efficiently use IT investments and operate securely
• Communicate global technology strategy, decisions, priorities and progress of initiatives and oversee resolution of escalated issues from respective markets
• Collaborate with other global technology functions to advance customer engagement technology capabilities for the markets
• Understand and anticipate direction of the businesses, identify opportunities, and make recommendations to support the desired future technology and business goals
• Represent end-to-end Sandoz technology functions in the overall local business engagement and governance
• Proactively shares knowledge of technology risks with business stakeholders while partnering with greater IT organizations to ensure continuous improvement of IT services, application rationalization and efficient management of existing systems and operations, while meeting internal service standards
• Delivers an outcome that improves day-to-day productivity and fosters collaboration.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

Experience:

• 5-6 years management experience with broad range of exposure to various technology domains and business segments, especially commercial customer engagement technology solutions
• Ability to understand global and local business strategic direction and requirements in a multi-country, multi-cultural and matrix environment
• Relevant experiences in life science industry
• Experience in project management and Agile product delivery desired
• Fluent English is a must

Seniority & Influence:

Some seniority is required, as the role involves influencing without authority and significant cross-functional collaboration. The candidate will act as the technology business-facing lead across various domains (infrastructure, end-user services, digital workplace, security, etc.), and will report directly to cluster heads and country managers
