Site Accountant

Job Brief:

Are you an experienced Site Accountant with a strong background in construction, heavy industries, or large-scale warehouse operations?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading construction organization in the UAE, where you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end store operations, maintaining accurate inventory control of construction materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating closely with procurement and project teams to support seamless site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial & Accounting Duties

• Maintain accurate records of site-related financial transactions
• Manage site petty cash and prepare reconciliation reports
• Process supplier invoices and subcontractor payment applications
• Monitor site expenses and compare with approved project budget
• Prepare monthly expense reports and cost summaries
• Track material purchases and site-related procurement costs
• Assist in preparing project cost reports for management

Payroll & Administration

• Coordinate timesheets and labor attendance records
• Support payroll processing in coordination with HR and Head Office
• Handle staff expense claims and reimbursements
• Maintain employee records related to site allowances

Compliance & Control

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations (5%)
• Maintain proper documentation for audits
• Verify LPOs (Local Purchase Orders) before processing payments
• Support internal and external audit requirements

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in construction accounting (UAE experience preferred)
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations
• Familiarity with construction contracts and subcontractor billing
• Proficiency in accounting software in ERP and MS Excel

Skills

• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of construction cost structures
• Ability to work independently at site level
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment

Job Location: Dubai

Type of Employment: Permanent / Full time

Salary: AED 4000 – 4500/Month
