Job Title: Site Electrical Junior Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Drawing Interpretation
- Read and interpret electrical layout plans, schematics, and technical documentation for proper execution on-site.
- Technical Knowledge
- Demonstrate working knowledge of electrical components and systems including:
- Transformers
- Armoured Cables
- LT Panels
- DG Sets & UPS Systems
- Batteries
- APFC Panels
- Concealed Wiring & Accessories
- Cable Laying & Termination
- Earthing Systems
- Electrical Safety Standards
- On-Site Electrical Supervision
- Monitor and guide the electrical contractor’s work, ensuring compliance with design specifications, timelines, and safety protocols.
- Electrical Calculations
- Perform basic load calculations, cable sizing, and other essential electrical computations for site applications.
- Quality Control & Verification
- Verify electrical works executed by contractors match the approved drawings and quality standards.
- Site Coordination
- Act as a key link between electricians, labor contractors, civil engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless workflow and timely progress.
- Ensure Continuous Power Supply
- Oversee temporary and permanent power arrangements at the site to avoid power disruptions during project execution.
- Inventory & Material Management
- Maintain accurate records of electrical materials in stock; raise timely requisitions to prevent shortages and ensure smooth site operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- 1–3 years of experience in site-based electrical engineering roles
- Proficiency in reading electrical drawings and performing basic design checks
- Understanding of local electrical codes and safety standards
- Good communication and team coordination skills
