Site engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Site Engineer with comprehensive, end-to-end experience in the interior fit-out process. You will be the key technical authority on-site, responsible for overseeing the transformation of design concepts into flawless, finished spaces. This role is critical for ensuring the highest quality of work, adherence to schedules, and strict compliance with UAE health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: (Managing Fit-Out from A to Z) A - Initiation & Planning: · Review and interpret all architectural drawings, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) layouts, and shop drawings. · Conduct thorough site surveys and inspections prior to mobilization. · Assist the Project Manager in developing detailed project schedules, method statements, and material submittals for client approval. · Liaise with the design team and consultants to resolve any technical discrepancies before work commences. Execution & On-Site Management: · Site Mobilization: Oversee the setup of the site, including temporary facilities, safety signage, and material storage as per Dubai Municipality/UAEC regulations. · Layout & Setting Out: Accurately set out the site using engineering tools, ensuring all partitions, ceilings, floorings, and service points are perfectly aligned with the approved drawings. · Subcontractor Management: Supervise, coordinate, and direct the work of all subcontractors (joinery, MEP, ceilings, flooring, painting) to ensure a seamless workflow and avoid conflicts. · Quality Control: Perform daily inspections to ensure all work meets the highest quality standards, project specifications, and approved material quality. · MEP Coordination: Act as the primary on-site coordinator for the intricate installation of MEP services, ensuring perfect integration with architectural elements. · Progress Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for the Project Manager, highlighting achievements, issues, and resource requirements. · HSE Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all company and UAE HSE regulations. Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure a zero-accident environment. Z - Project Closure & Handover: · Snagging & De-snagging: Lead the comprehensive snagging process, create detailed punch lists, and manage the timely rectification of all defects. · As-Built Documentation: Assist in the preparation and verification of as-built drawings for final handover. · Authority Liaison: Coordinate with Dubai Civil Defence and other relevant authorities for final inspections and approvals as required. · Client Handover: Manage the formal handover of the completed project to the client, ensuring all deliverables are met and achieving full client satisfaction. Qualifications & Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. · A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Site Engineer, specifically in interior fit-out projects in the UAE (commercial offices, retail, F&B, or hospitality). · Must have demonstrable, hands-on experience managing the entire fit-out lifecycle from initiation to handover. · In-depth knowledge of fit-out construction methods, sequences, and materials. · Proficiency in reading and interpreting all technical drawings (Architectural, Structural, MEP). · Strong computer skills (MS Office, MS Project). Experience with AutoCAD is a significant advantage. · Excellent command of the English language is essential. Knowledge of Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is beneficial. Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
