Site Engineer

Job Purpose

To oversee and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are executed according to design specifications, quality standards, timelines, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities1. Site Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise daily construction activities and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants on-site.
• Monitor work progress, resolve on-site issues, and report delays or challenges to management.

2. Technical & Quality Control

• Review drawings, designs, and technical specifications to ensure accurate implementation.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.

3. Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and local construction codes.
• Identify potential risks and implement corrective measures to prevent accidents.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for site staff.

4. Project Planning & Reporting

• Assist Project Manager in planning work schedules, resource allocation, and material requirements.
• Monitor daily progress and prepare reports on site activities, manpower, and materials.
• Support project cost control by tracking material usage and labor efficiency.

5. Technical Support & Problem Solving

• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, site supervisors, and labor teams.
• Troubleshoot construction and design-related issues promptly.
• Implement engineering solutions to improve construction efficiency and quality.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Site Engineer on construction projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
