Engineer – Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering
Job Summary
The Engineer (Electrical / Instrumentation) is responsible for planning, execution, operation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The role involves troubleshooting, project coordination, compliance with standards, and continuous improvement of E&I systems.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Engineering
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems including LT/HT panels, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, motors, and power distribution networks.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply and optimize energy consumption.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
Instrumentation & Control
- Maintain and calibrate field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
- Diagnose and rectify faults in control systems and instrumentation loops.
- Support automation upgrades and system modifications.
Projects & Execution
- Assist in planning and execution of E&I projects, installations, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams during project execution.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow EHS guidelines and ensure safe working practices.
- Maintain statutory records and support audits and inspections.
- Participate in risk assessments and hazard analysis related to E&I systems.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain maintenance logs, calibration records, and SOPs.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly performance and breakdown reports.
Qualifications
Diploma in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering
Experience
- 4–5 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering
- Experience in manufacturing plants, process industries, power plants, or EPC projects preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and industrial instrumentation
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Knowledge of safety standards and statutory compliance
Work Location
As per project/site/plant requirement
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
