Education: Bachelor’s or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in infrastructure rehabilitation or construction supervision, preferably in education or emergency response projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed school assessments to gauge the extent of infrastructure damages caused by floods and identify rehabilitation needs.
- Prepare school-specific repair and rehabilitation plans, incorporating accessibility features such as ramps, railings, and gender-responsive WASH facilities with technical input of RSPN engineers.
- Oversee construction, repair, and rehabilitation of school facilities, ensuring compliance with approved designs, technical standards, and safety regulations.
- Prepare site assessment reports, BOQs, and work progress updates for submission to RSPN Engineer.
- Ensure quality assurance and adherence to environmental, inclusion, and safety standards throughout construction activities.
- Supervise contractors to ensure timely completion of works and verify progress before recommending payments.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for each site, including work orders, material records, and safety compliance reports.
- Coordinate with School Management Committees (SMCs), and Head Teachers to ensure community participation and ownership of rehabilitation work.
- Prepare and submit completion reports for each rehabilitated school, duly endorsed by the respective SMC and Head Teacher.
- Capture and maintain pre- and post-rehabilitation photographs of all schools to document progress and outcomes.
- Support preparation of handover documentation and completion certificates for submission to RSPN and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure all infrastructure activities comply with RSPN and ECW’s standards for inclusivity, gender sensitivity, child safety, and disaster resilience.
Skill:
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering, construction, and school infrastructure rehabilitation.
- Proficient in site assessments, BOQ preparation, and technical reporting.
- Experience in supervising contractors and ensuring quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Ability to coordinate with school communities and stakeholders effectively.
- Familiarity with inclusive, gender-responsive, and disaster-resilient infrastructure practices.
Contract Duration: 6 months
Salary: Rs. 80,000/- per month
