About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to manage and supervise construction activities at the project site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all technical aspects of a construction project are executed smoothly, on time, and in line with the approved drawings and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Site Supervision:
- Oversee daily construction activities on-site and ensure work is carried out as per approved plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, labor teams, and subcontractors.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Project Execution:
- Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Manage resources (manpower, materials, equipment) efficiently.
- Plan and schedule daily site activities to meet project timelines.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality control of work.
- Identify and resolve any design, technical, or site execution issues.
- Report non-conformance and implement corrective actions.
Coordination & Communication:
- Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, and the project management team.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress.
- Maintain site records, daily progress reports (DPR), and documentation.
Material & Inventory Management:
- Monitor material usage and ensure timely procurement and delivery.
- Verify material quality before installation or usage on-site.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of site experience in residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in interpreting structural and architectural drawings.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Basic knowledge of project management tools and MS Office.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks on-site.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project, or other construction software.
- Knowledge of local construction laws, codes, and regulations.
- Experience with billing, estimation, and client/vendor coordination.
