Role Overview
The Site Engineer – Civil will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site activities, ensuring timely execution of civil works, and maintaining quality and safety standards. The role demands strong coordination with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to deliver infrastructure projects efficiently and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise civil construction activities including excavation, concreting, structural works, and finishing
- Ensure adherence to approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards
- Monitor daily progress and update schedules in coordination with the planning team
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for timely resource mobilization and execution
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues in real-time
- Maintain site documentation including DPRs, material records, and compliance registers
- Ensure safety protocols and statutory norms (BOCW, ESIC, PF) are followed at site
- Assist in preparing RA bills, BOQ measurements, and client submissions
- Liaise with client representatives and consultants for inspections and approvals
- Support in managing PRS, hold items, and scope clarifications
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s/Diploma in Civil Engineering
- 2–5 years of site experience in infrastructure, pipeline, or industrial projects
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and MS Excel
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and buffer management
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and team coordination skills
- Knowledge of statutory documentation and compliance processes
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in working with PSU clients like GAIL, BPCL, IOAGPL
- Exposure to billing, client correspondence, and project reporting
- Adaptive to changing site conditions and milestone shifts
