Site Engineer (Civil)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Site Engineer (Civil) to manage technical and engineering aspects of construction projects on site. The role involves ensuring that works are executed according to design, quality standards, and project timelines while coordinating with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project plans.
• Supervise and monitor on-site civil works to ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Prepare and update daily site reports, including work progress, manpower, and material usage.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow.
• Conduct inspections to verify quality standards, site safety, and adherence to project requirements.
• Support project planning by providing technical inputs and site measurements.
• Handle site documentation, including method statements, inspection requests (IRs), and material approvals.
• Identify engineering issues on site and propose practical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, risk assessments, and safe work practices.
• Assist in quantity take-off, material requisitions, and verification of completed works.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience as a Site Engineer in civil, infrastructure, building, or utilities projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, surveying, and civil materials.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings (structural, architectural, and shop drawings).
• Good problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with local authority regulations and standards (e.g., DMT, ADM, RTA, etc.)—if in UAE.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar tools is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

• Experience in site inspections with consultants/clients.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures for civil works.
• Driving license (if required for site mobility).
