Site Engineer (Fit-Out) | UAE

eMagine Solutions DMCC is recruiting a Site Engineer (Fit-Out) for a well-established interior contracting / turnkey fit-out business delivering fast-paced commercial and retail projects across the UAE. The role (what you’ll be responsible for)

As Site Engineer, you’ll support the successful delivery of fit-out works on site, ensuring the project is executed in an organized, cost-effective, and quality-driven way, aligned to approved drawings and timelines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drawings & technical coordination: obtain and review IFC/shop drawings, identify discrepancies, support clarifications, and manage drawing updates/changes with the team
• Material take-off & procurement coordination: assess material requirements accurately, prepare requisitions, and coordinate with the Purchase/Procurement Department (post-approval) to avoid delays
• Manpower planning & productivity: forecast manpower requirements , allocate workforce effectively, monitor productivity, and raise additional manpower needs early
• Site supervision & execution: supervise daily site activities (civil/finishes), coordinate trades, manage work fronts, and ensure works are executed as per approved method and sequence
• Programme control: monitor progress against the project plan/programme, report slippages, highlight risks, and support corrective actions to protect milestones and handover dates
• Subcontractor coordination: oversee subcontractors for multiple work packages (partitions, ceilings, joinery, flooring, MEP coordination, painting, tiling, glass, etc.), track deliverables, and close issues fast
• QA/QC & inspections: conduct quality checks with the QC Inspector, complete QA/QC checklists , ensure compliance with specifications, and maintain a “right-first-time” culture
• Snagging & close-out: execute consultant/client snag lists, drive snag closure, coordinate rework, and support final handover readiness
• Reporting & communication: keep the Project Manager updated with daily/weekly site updates, progress reporting, constraints, and technical/site issues
• Demobilization & completion: coordinate site demobilization on project completion and prepare required reports/documentation

People leadership (important)

• Guide and motivate foremen/technicians/workforce to enhance performance
• Support coaching and development of junior team members to build a stronger delivery bench

What we’re looking for (must-haves)

• 2–3 years’ experience in interior contracting / construction / fit-out
• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering
• Strong understanding of site execution for finishes and coordination with multiple trades
• Comfortable working on fast-track projects with tight deadlines and high quality expectations
• Strong communication skills with internal teams, subcontractors, and site management
