Site Engineer - Home Backup Power Solutions

Power DFW, One Home at a Time

When storms knock out power, families count on Kenerator to keep the lights on. Kenerator is a fast-growing backup power specialist in DFW, delivering reliable generator solutions with proven industry processes and standards that put homeowners first.

We’re hiring a Site Engineer to perform technical in‑home surveys, document installation requirements, and set up our remote Design Specialists for same‑day sales. You’ll blend technical know‑how with a warm, confident presence—able to explain complex things simply, while staying friendly, professional, and easy to work with.

What You’ll Do

Technical Surveys & Documentation

  • Visit customers’ homes to perform comprehensive site surveys: electrical panels, gas lines, clearances, pad locations, and permitting requirements.
  • Capture detailed photos, sketches, and measurements using our CRM and mobile tools.
  • Document everything installation teams need to deliver safe, code-compliant installations and great customer experiences.

Support the Sales Process

  • Initiate the sales conversation and hand off to our remote Design Specialists for system sizing and closing.
  • Follow our proven WATTS-style sales system to identify decision-makers, budgets, and timelines.
  • Clearly and calmly explain your findings to homeowners, balancing technical expertise with an approachable, friendly demeanor.

Deliver Results

  • Run all issued appointments on time with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Hit performance targets: appointment completion rate, data quality, and impact on close rates, margin, and average sale price.
  • Consistently generate self-sourced or referral leads from your field presence.

What We’re Looking For

Entry-Level Role & Compensation Structure
This is an entry-level position with a $24,000 base salary and a heavily incentive-driven compensation model. High performers have the ability to exceed $100,000 annually, reflecting strong execution, professionalism, and adherence to our proven processes.

Must-Haves:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in home services, residential construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or generators (strongly preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Company provided vehicle provided within 90 days.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders, accessing attics/roofs, and working outdoors.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Tech‑savvy with CRM and mobile app proficiency.
  • Professional communication skills and a personality that balances friendly, down‑to‑earth interaction with clear, confident technical explanations.

Bonus Points:

  • Knowledge of electrical panels, NEC basics, gas systems, or permitting.
  • Familiarity with Generac, Kohler, Cummins, or Briggs & Stratton products.
  • Background working with a mix of field and remote/inside sales teams.

Why Kenerator?

  • Competitive pay – base salary + performance incentives
  • Full benefits – health, dental, vision, PTO

  • Tools & tech – company-provided tools, apps, and support
